Brian Johnston Man, I love the heck out of this collection. I was an idiot and didn't get into Shang-A-Lang back when they were together. But I'm making up for that now. This whole thing is so wonderfully low-fidelity and full of energy. Stop reading this and go listen. Favorite track: Friends Grow Up.

This full length from SHANG-A-LANG collects the band's vital discography of EPs and compilation tracks. Featuring members of Marked Men and Low Culture, Shang-A-Lang from Las Cruces, NM, played gritty and loud pop-punk with East Bay and Minneapolis influences. "Collection" has 22 tracks in just under 40 minutes. This band simply does not write bad songs and these EPs represent their very best. CD and LP both include artwork by Mitch Clem and a Shang-A-Lang poster backed with with commentary from the band about the included releases.
